Harry Sinclair Lewis (1885 – 1951) was an American writer, and playwright. In 1930, he became the first writer from the United States to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, His works are describe an insightful and critical view of American society and capitalist values. He had an important impact on American life with his books.
