Ancient play attributed to Aeschylus. Titan Prometheus is bound to a rock as a punishment from the Olympian Zeus for providing fire to humans.


Author's Biography
Aeschylus (Circa. 524/525 BC – c. 455/456 BC) was an ancient Greek tragedian. Only seven of an estimated seventy to ninety plays by Aeschylus have survived into modern times. An important number of these disappeared with fires of Alexandria Library. He is often recognized as the father of tragedy.
