Author's Biography

Margaret Munnerlyn Mitchell (1900 – 1949) was an American author. She had only one major publication: Gone with the Wind. The book earned her the Pulitzer Prize in 1937. This novel is one of the most popular books of all time, selling more than 30 million copies). The film adaptation of the book in 1939, became the highest-grossing film in the history of Hollywood, and it received a record-breaking ten Academy Awards.

I love this book I have read it over and over again. I love the movie too Clark Gable is soo perfect to play Rhett Butler.
